Exxon Mobil Corporation Profile

Exxon Mobil Corp is an American Multinational Oil Gas company and is the largest of the companies descended from the break-up of John D. Rockefeller’s Standard Oil company and the 12th largest company in the world by revenue. The company is the result of a Merger between Exxon and Mobil in 1999. The company is currently recovering from a significant drop in price and net income losses of over 22 billion in 2020 caused by the covid-19 pandemic that resulted in decreased demand for fuel. Exxonmobil has remained steady though, with plenty of cash to cover their losses as well as continuing to pay dividends. ExxonMobil has a strong dividend history and a very high current dividend yield of 5.7%. ExxonMobil seems to be recovering well, having stopped making losses in Q1 of 2021 they had a net income of 2.73 Billion, signalling that they could have a strong recovery going forward.

Share CFD Trading FAQ

Each investor owning shares of a company is also owning fragments of the company. A quite simple way to explain what a stock is is basically when a company divides itself into several shares and then it makes a part of these equities available to the public, at a price. Each investor owning shares of a company is owning fragments of the company.

While shares represent units of ownership within a company Contracts for Difference (CFDs) allow traders to speculate on the future share price fluctuations of an underlying asset. Thus when trading CFDs traders do not physically own the underlying asset. CFDs are available for a range of underlying assets, such as shares, commodities, and foreign exchange, and indices.
